Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center

Our laboratory has a long-standing interest in understanding the relationship between the processes that control development and those associated with cancer. We use genetically engineered mouse (GEM) models to investigate mechanisms of tumorigenesis as well as to study mechanisms of transcriptional control in development and cancer. Our laboratory has generated GEM models that recapitulate the entire spectrum of prostate cancer, and has also developed unique GEM models of invasive bladder cancer. We are using these models to study cancer mechanisms and to develop novel approaches for treatment and prevention.
